Modern Comfort meets the Charm of Singapore’s East and Peranakan Heritage: Far East Hospitality’s East Village Hotel to open in March 2013

Singapore, 27 November 2012 – Far East Hospitality Management’s Village Hotel Katong is set to officially open on 1st March 2013. The latest and flagship hotel under the group’s Village brand will target business and leisure travellers with its proximity to Singapore’s bustling Katong and Marine Parade neighbourhoods, a suite of convenient services for business travellers, and a range of rooms sporting peranakan-inspired design touches. To celebrate its opening, Village Hotel Katong is offering guests a second night stay free, for every room night booked.

Village Hotel Katong combines the best of old world charm and modern sophistication

Located near Changi International Airport, and just opposite Parkway Parade, one of the biggest shopping centres in the East of Singapore, Village Hotel Katong offers a memorable experience for everyone. Drawing its inspiration from the Peranakan heritage of its surrounding, Straits Chinese design accents, from its 229 rooms to its common areas, sets the non-smoking hotel apart. Superior, Deluxe and Club room categories provide a variety of options to suit different traveler profiles and needs.

Guests from overseas will find getting to and fro the airport and hotel a breeze with complimentary airport shuttle services. Tech-savvy travellers can also check their emails, shop, and stay connected through their social networks easily with the free internet access within the hotel.

Step out of the hotel and into a melting pot of good food and heritage that defines the enclaves of Katong, Joo Chiat and other neighbourhoods in the East. Guests can hop on a food trail with traditional local food and snacks such as Katong laksa and Nonya kuehs, or embark on a shopping spree, with shopping centres and eclectic shops in the vicinity to choose from. In addition, Village Hotel Katong will be organizing regular activities focused on the locales for their guests too, for those who are keen to savour the best of Singapore right within the hotel.

Room rates start from S$188++ per night for a Superior room.

Opening Offer: Enjoy a Second Night on Us for Every Room Night Booked

Business and leisure travellers keen to experience the hotel’s facilities and services now have a reason to book early.
